ELECTION RESULTS:

Its been a long, long election year.  The editor felt that while the battles for each possession were hard fought it was, by in large, a clean campaign, by all parties.  Not at all like IOWA!!   Here are the winners’

Arvada Rotarians receive awards at the District Conference.

Linda Nedved, an outstanding member of the Arvada Rotary Club, received the 2006-2007 Rotarian of the Year for District 5450.  She received this recognition for her service to the district as Group Study Exchange Chair.  Mike Hayes, from the Westminster 710 Club also received Rotarian of the year recognition.  Linda received her award from District Governor, Frank Sargent.

 

Eldon Laidig received the Governor's Discretionary Award.  Eldon served as Community Service Chair.  Eldon designed, developed, and financially supported the 83 Penny Regiment, the backbone of our District RI Foundation Donation Program. Arvada Rotary Club was one of 5 district nominees the Best Cooperative Projects Awards (a Rotary International Award). We have been nominated for our "Flower Power"  project, done in conjunction with the Colorado Garden and Home Show.  Arvada Rotary Club president, Jerry Jelinek is next to District Governor, Frank Sargent, on the left.
